On April 20th, 1973 the Castors and Wheels section of AISEM (the Italian association of elevation movement and lifting systems) was formed within ANIMA, the Federation of the Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries. During 2000, the Group turns into an independent Union and becomes UCIR, the Union of Italian wheels manufacturer, to better protect the associated companies interests either in the national or international field. Beyond being member of the FEM Section IV "Castors and wheels", UCIR has formed within its members the Technical Commission whose task is to follow, through the participation in the Standardization Bodies Technical Committees, the development at national and international level of the standards dealing with the concerned marketplace. Particularly, the experts of the Union take part in the following Technical Committees: • UNI/SC 5 - Sub-Commission "Castors and wheels" of the Commission "Internal Transports" • CEN/TC 324 - Technical Committee "Castors and wheels" • ISO/TC 110/SC 3 - Sub-Committee "Industrial wheels and castors" of the Technical Committee "Industrial Trucks" • FEM Sezione IV - "Castors and wheels" |
